October 2025
This post is part of our monthly supporter updates and reflects product development and thinking at the time it was written. Here is our latest update.
Hi all,
Here's what's new this month from Artificial Societies:
From a TypeForm prototype that woke James up to run simulations, to a platform that's now informing how enterprises make high-stakes decisions. It's not a toy anymore.
We were mentioned by a16z in their Future of Market Research report, and marketing teams at Pleo, Pulsar, and Yonder are reporting up to 10x more comprehensive decision intelligence.
We welcomed Felix Wallis as Simulation Engineer, one of James's co-authors on the paper studying social behaviour of 33,000 AI chatbots, fresh from a Masters at Oxford where he simulated entire Reddit communities.
Between product scoping and planning, we revisited the mission that motivates each of us. Collectively, we arrived at: "Our mission is to build a societal model to enable infinite experimentation, so that people have complete awareness of outcomes before making decisions."
