July 2025 Update

This post is part of our monthly supporter updates and reflects product development and thinking at the time it was written. Here is our latest update.

Hi all,

Here's what's new this month from Artificial Societies:

We are launching our flagship product

Over the last 10 months, we've built many demos: simulating VC investors, YC batch mates, personal LinkedIn networks, and businesses' target customers. We've been learning by building. And now, we're bringing everything into one product: Artificial Societies, the one place where you can simulate any group of people and test any type of decisions before you take the bet in reality.

Marketing leaders at Pleo, Pulsar, and Yonder are already using AS to help their teams experiment 10x faster, across landing pages, social content, ads, and more. This gives them the courage to be creative, and the confidence to invest in the most promising ideas.

Our strategy is to create a horizontal product and technology that can enable us to discover where we can provide the most value and, at the same time, the use cases that demand us to build a more exceptional product and technology.

We refined the product around simplicity

We spent the month talking to users, watching session replays, and reconfiguring the product. Our design principle is now much clearer: simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

James completed his NYC trip

31 coffees with founders and CMOs. A notebook full of insights on first-time user experience. And a new collaboration with NYU to make LLMs better at simulating human social behaviour. Key learning: people love the product once they get past the initial five minutes of the learning curve. So we built a new product guide with a conversational "Ask AI" feature to help users get up to speed.
